There have been a TON of things keeping us all really busy within the Durham Divers executive recently.  There's so much I'm not quite sure that I can contain it all in one email, but let’s try!! Here goes…

DIVE SIGN-UP: March 29th @ 1pm

Sunday March 29th at 1 pm marks the date for our yearly dive sign-up.  You can take a look at the calendar on the website beforehand to see what you'd like to sign-up for.  A 50% deposit payment is required for all charters and is governed by our cancellation policy available on our web site (please review the policy).  You don't need to attend, HOWEVER, you need to send someone to represent you to sign you up for the dives and bring payment.  If you don't know what an "Underwhere? Dive Charter" is all about, you should likely attend the meeting.  

March Social

This Thursday is our March social.  If you get a chance to pop out to the Thornton Arms Pub anytime after 7 pm please feel free to join us.  No need to RSVP.  Just show up if you're nearby.  For directions to the pub please click here:  Directions

New Website! Finally!

As many of you have noticed, we have a new website that went live shortly after last weekend.  It brings a fresh look to the system and works much better than the old site.  There are still a few things that we are working on but in general, everything is working much better. Every member will have to re-register themselves to access all the features of the site.

New Logo'd Merchandise

MANY, MANY of you have been asking us for Durham Divers branded merchandise for quite some time.   Well, the time has finally arrived!  I am pleased to announce that Dave Kondziolka and I have finalized products and the embroidery design and we're planning to have some product for purchase and to order at the dive sign-up meeting on March 29.  This depends on whether we get it from our supplier before then, but everything is looking good for this.  We will have polo-shirts, men’s and ladies T-shirts, long-sleeve t-shirts, windbreakers and hats.  All products are of the best possible quality. Hope you're as excited as we are!  What better way to deck yourself out in gear from your favourite dive club.  I promise that prices will be extremely reasonable. On March 29, we will have a small number of items available for immediate purchase to take home. However, most purchases will be made by viewing the samples and sizes, and then paying for your order in full. We expect to have your order within two weeks.

SHARKWATER Movie Night - Friday April 3rd @ 8pm

On Friday April 3rd at 8pm, we’re having a special free movie night at The Sports Gardens Cafe.  This event is for club members and their families only.  I'd like to thank the producers and directors of Sharkwater for providing us with movie posters and other promotional merchandise for this awesome event. Check out the club website for more info! Hey – you can’t have a pint at AMC during a movie, but you can at this one!

Twitter

Many of you noticed that we had a Facebook group at the end of last year.  Although this is used for various people to communicate, the official communication comes through the web site found at http://www.durhamdivers.com.  In addition to the website however, you can monitor the status of the club through Twitter.
